Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Count Your BLESSINGS”. While at a church service recently, the preacher raised a song with the lyrics: “Count your blessings, name them one by one; count your blessings and see what the Lord has done; count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done”. Really, I was touched by the song. Why? More often than not, we preoccupy our minds over what the Lord hasn’t done for us, thereby forgetting how good and caring He has been in times past and present. With barely few weeks to say good-bye to 2020, many are already looking back in regret because of what they didn’t achieve. To them 2020 is an unfruitful year. If I may ask: Are you still breathing? Did you wake up this morning? Do you go out and come in safely each day? Did God shield you from COVID-19? Or you caught it but got delivered by God’s mercy? Do you feed yourself without a pipe being passed through your throat? Can you walk, talk, take shower, and put on clothes by yourself? Can you visit the toilet without difficulty? If your answer to any of these questions is “yes”, then God has been so good to you.
