Becoming The You That God Sees

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Becoming The You That God Sees”. The Almighty God had a vivid picture in mind when He created you. Each time He looks down from heaven, it is that picture of you that He sees, not a wretched, confused, harassed, and oppressed person. You know, God wants you to see yourself the way He sees you. Why? We are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him (Psalm 139:14); and above all, we’re created in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). Therefore, “As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). Meaning, No difference! This is what the Psalmist saw and wrote: “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels (Elohim), and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; you have put all things under his feet” (Psalm 8:3-6). In the Hebrew translation of the bible, the place we saw written angel in the above scripture we just read, was originally translated as Elohim, meaning God. In fact, I believe the person who wrote an angel there was so afraid to write God. But we’re children of the Most High God, and we cannot be different from Him if we are truly His. My biological children are mine and just like me, no difference. Psalm 82:6 declares, “I said, you are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.”
Listen, it is in the understanding of this truth as the children of the Most High God, that you are able to enter into God’s fullness, glory, and be able to access all the provisions He has made available for you. Apostle Paul wrote saying, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come” (Ephesians 1:17-21). Unfortunately today, many believers in Christ do not have a clear understanding of who they are, and what the finished work of Christ has done for them. They go about walking in ignorance. Yes, ignorance which is the absence of knowledge has dealt a deadly blow on humanity. For the Lord declared, “My people are destroyed for lack of KNOWLEDGE” (Hosea 4:6). You have to study and search the scripture (John 5:39), to know what is said and written about you by God.
The book of 2 Timothy 2:15 said, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” If you know, you have an edge. And that is what is called Knowledge. It puts you ahead in life. The truth you know cannot be taken away from you. When you know something is colour white, no devil can convince you that it is black, except you choose to be deceived, like many who are falling out of grace today, departing from truth, and yoking up with the devil (1 Timothy 4:1-10). Knowing that the instrumentality of deception has always prevailed on man, the devil capitalizes on this error and weakness in the life of so many people. Listen, whosoever you give yourself to, become your master (Romans 6:16); what you behold you become (Genesis 15:5); and what you think about yourself is who you become. “For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). If I may ask: How do you see yourself? Do you see yourself the way God sees you? When you look at the mirror, what do you see? A Giant? Or Grasshopper? That reminds me the story of the 12 spies who were sent to search out the land which the Lord has promised to give the children of Israel. Moses selected 12 men to embark on this journey. On getting to the Promised Land, they encountered giants in the land.
Listen, God already knew there were giants in that land before He gave it to them. And He also knew that they will conquer those giants. Why? One with God is majority. God cannot give you an assignment without backing you up with the ability to accomplish it. But unfortunately, 10 out of the 12 spies confessed negatively when they saw the giants. They protested before Moses that they cannot defeat those giants in the land, because they saw themselves as Grasshoppers, except for Caleb and Joshua, who saw themselves as Giant Killers (Numbers 13). Matthew 12:34 says, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” While God saw them as super giants, they degraded themselves to mere grasshoppers. In life, the way you see yourself and what you confess by your mouth is very important. Remember, “You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God” (Psalm 139:14). The Almighty God engrafted you on His palms (Isaiah 49:16). Meaning, you carry His DNA. Never forget, God sees Himself each time He looks at you. You bear His image and likeness. You are priceless, errorless, invaluable, and fantastic. Therefore, see yourself the way your heavenly Father sees you. Have a fulfilled week. With love, Elvis!
