You Have Not Failed Until Your Faith Fails (Cont.)
Friends, greetings in Jesus Name. Today, we will continue on the series we started last week titled, “You Have Not Failed Until Your Faith Fails.” Now, I want us to know that faith is the currency of the spirit that God understands. A Christian without faith in God is naked and at risk to the arrows of the enemy. Faith in God is not just your defense against the attack of the evil one, but your weapon of war to advance, conquer territories, issue a decree, and achieve enviable results in life. While speaking to His disciples, Jesus declared: “… In the world you shall have tribulation…” (John 16:33). And Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” If you observe closely, the Scripture above didn’t say “if you pass through” but “when you pass through.” This means that the storms of life must surely come your way. It’s just a matter of when. Interestingly, what guarantees your victory over the storms of life is your level of faith. The book of 1 John 5:4 declares, “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.”
Listen, your faith is the key to your victory. In other words, “no faith no victory”. Satan makes a mess of one’s life that pitches his or her tent in fear, doubt and unbelief without faith in God. James 1:2-3 tells us to, “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” Hallelujah! Your faith in God brings God to the scene of every situation you encounter in life. Hebrews 10:38 declares, “Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” What denies many people from God’s backing in their lives is when they operate in fear instead of faith. Never forget: faith is to God what fear is to the devil. Faith in God attracts God’s attention. A man or woman of faith can’t lack God’s help or support. Check the examples where people had an encounter with Jesus, and you will notice His response to them was usually “your faith has made thee whole.” He never said “your fear – unbelief or doubt – has made thee whole.” Why? It’s because fear is the opposite of faith. And fear, which opens the door to unbelief and doubt, produces nothing but torment (1 John 4:18).
While many were pushing, touching, and thronging Him, Jesus stopped, and asked who touched Him. His disciples were surprised by His question because there was an uncontrollable crowd pressing at Him. But the woman with the issue of blood knew what had happened. She had radically made up her mind by faith, that by touching Jesus’ garment, her twelve long years of infirmity would come to an end. Her decision paid off because an absolute faith in God can never be denied. As soon as Jesus realised the person who touched Him, He said to her that her faith had made her whole (Mark 5:25-34). Hallelujah! Not all touch is a touch. There is a touch of faith. That’s the touch Jesus felt. Many were touching Jesus with their fear-filled life; unfortunately, Jesus didn’t feel their touch. God can only feel our touch when we operate in faith, not in unbelief. Sometimes, the reason it seems God is far away from many is because when He looks down from heaven, what He sees is fear, doubt and unbelief – not faith. And you know God can’t respond to fear, doubt, and unbelief. The book James 1:5-8 declares, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
You shall do wonders if you have faith and do not doubt (Matthew 21:21), and always remember that God has not given you the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Hebrews 10:38 declares, “Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” When you draw back into fear, doubt and unbelief, God has no pleasure in you. That’s the reason you see many people today weeping and crying but their situation seems to get worse. Why? Their weeping and crying do not translate to faith. David wept, but his weeping didn’t draw him into unbelief or doubt in God’s ability to deliver. Hallelujah The Scripture declares that David encouraged himself in the Lord, and God came into the scene to deliver his enemies into his hands (1 Samuel 30). What separates victors from victims is their propensity towards faith, not fear. “So Jesus answered and said to them, Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22). I pray as you go this week, your faith in God shall increase, and God will cause all grace to abound towards you in Jesus Mighty Name. Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With Love, Elvis!
