Never Let the Devil Get at Your Faith.

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you what I title, “Never Let the Devil Get at Your Faith.” Let me begin by saying emphatically that Christianity is a fight of faith. Period! No wonder Apostle Paul said to his spiritual son, Timothy, “Fight the good fight of Faith” (1 Timothy 6:12). You know why? All the battles you are going through and will ever go through boils down to one thing: The trial of your Faith. James 1:2-4 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” Hear me, the devil is after your faith. Once your faith is defeated, you’re finished. The Lord Jesus said to Apostle Peter, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail” (Luke 22:31-32).
Beloved, your faith in God is your identity in the realm of the spirit. Once it fails, you lose your identity. The devil knows it so well. Jesus said to Peter: “I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail”. The only way the devil can have an upper hand over a believer in Christ is when he succeeds to whittle down their faith. In order to face and withstand the onslaught of the devil in any given battle, Apostle Paul wrote, “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Ephesians 6:14-16). Please, take note of that phrase, “Above all…taking the shield of faith.” Why? You can’t stand against the enemy before you without engaging your faith in God to deliver.
Now, Jesus said to his disciples in Mark 11:22-23, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain: Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” What’s the mountain here? Anything that the devil throws against you, including himself standing as a mountain. It is your word of faith that levels the mountain before you. Zechariah 4:7 declares, “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain.” Hallelujah! Satan knows the dynamic power of your faith command when you exercise it against him. Yes, he has no choice but to obey. That’s why his first attack against you is your faith. Once your faith is down, he launches his destructive missiles against your health, marriage, finance, peace, and ultimately, your life. “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying: Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name. And Jesus said to them, I saw Satan fall like lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:17-19).
Here me, the name of Jesus is not just an ordinary name when applied by faith. The devil recognizes your faith in Jesus. No matter what you’re going through right now, never let the devil get at your faith in calling the name, Jesus. “For at the mention of the Name Jesus, every knee shall bow” (Philippians 2:10). Satan may get at anything but never your faith in God. As long as your faith in God remains intact, whatever he has stolen from you will be restored a thousand times more. “Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. He also had seven sons and three daughters” (Job 42:12-13). The battles you’re going through presently is as a result of great things the devil has seen ahead in your life. Remember, Jesus told Peter that the devil desired to sift him. Yes, Satan did flaw Peter’s faith. He fell, denied Jesus three times, got so discouraged, and almost lost his faith completely.
You know what? Jesus didn’t give up on Peter. He saw ahead of time before the battle began, and offered a prayer to the Father on behalf of Peter. Then Peter got back on his feet and became fully restored in faith. Now, see the blow Peter gave to Satan when in one revival meeting, about 3,000 people gave their lives to Christ when he ministered (Acts 2:41). Indeed, Satan saw that day beforehand, and unleashed mayhem on Peter that he may fall out of faith in God. Never forget, Satan does not fight your present; he fights your future. He looks beyond now to see the great plan and purpose of God for your life to attack it. Apostle Peter wrote in 1 Peter 1:6-7, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.” Beloved, be strong in your faith, the trial of your faith is but for a moment, you will overcome. Never give up. Hallelujah! Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love. Elvis!
