Arise and Fight for Your Destiny.

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you what I title, “Arise and Fight for Your Destiny.” Ladies and gentlemen, may I begin by saying emphatically that in your race to fulfill destiny, there are giants to confront, mountains to climb, roadblocks and obstacles to clear out of the way before reaching your destination. I see some people so happy and going about with the euphoria of a prophetic declaration made over their lives about great things God intends to accomplish through them. Listen, the fact that a Seer prophesied over your destiny that you’re going to be a future King in your village or a renowned Apostle that will shake the world and do wonders for God against the kingdom of darkness does not mean you should go to bed, do nothing, and then see it suddenly come to pass just like that. No! It does not happen that way. If you doubt, ask Bro. David before he became King over Israel. He will tell you what he went through before he ascended to the throne.
If David had given up in the numerous troubles he went through, he would have missed the throne. He fought a bear, a lion, and Goliath along the way. He conquered them all but didn’t end there. At the time David should have had a break and taken a good rest, trouble ensued between him and his master, King Saul. Yes, his mentor became his tormentor. Saul chased David to the extent that he put a price on anyone who could help him kill him. But David refused to give up; he encouraged himself in the Lord in the face of fiery trials (1 Samuel 30:8); and he emerged at the throne. Listen, God promised the children of Israel a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:17). They didn’t enter there on a platter of gold. They had to fight and defeat giants in the land (Numbers 13). Those who refused to align to the promise perished in the wilderness (Numbers 14:36-38). You know why? God will not force you to fulfil your destiny in life. With all the beautiful plans God had for Adam and Eve, he didn’t stop them from making their decision or following their choices in life. Adam and Eve missed it; and that was it. Then God chased them out of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:22-24).
Listen, God can only encourage you, give you all the helping hand and support that you need all the way. But the choice still remains yours to fulfil your destiny in life. Speaking through his servant Moses, the Lord said to the children of Israel, “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” (Deut. 30:19). When the mantle of leadership fell upon Joshua after the death of Moses, the Lord knew that Joshua needed a huge dose of encouragement and moral support to help him navigate the journey of fulfilling his destiny, otherwise he might miss it. Therefore, the Lord said to Joshua, “Be strong and of good courage, for to these people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go” (Joshua 1:6-7).
Indeed, Joshua got so encouraged even in the face of opposition. Hear me, your destiny in life won’t get fulfilled on its own without your effort. You must be battle ready. It will be sad for you to fold your hands and watch weeds overtake your garden. It’s abnormal, except you do not want to see any harvest. Matthew 13:25 says, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” Whether you like it or not, Satan is interested in your destiny. Why? The devil knows if you stay focused to fulfill God’s plan and agenda for your life, his kingdom is in trouble. Thus, he keeps working day and night to thwart God’s agenda for your life. But you should not allow him. You don’t watch helplessly and allow the devil to plant tares in your garden. No way!
Unfortunately, a lot of destinies today have followed many to their grave and gone unfulfilled. According to Myles Munroe of blessed memory, “The wealthiest place in the world is not the gold mines of South America or the oil fields of Iraq or Iran. They are not the diamond mines of South Africa or the banks of the world. The wealthiest place on the planet is just down the road. It is the cemetery. There lie buried companies that were never started, inventions that were never made, bestselling books that were never written, and masterpieces that were never painted. In the cemetery is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potential.” Each and every one of us has potential packaged by God to be unleashed to the world. This is why we are unique. Our fingerprints are not the same. You and I must find out what makes us unique and fulfil our purpose on earth.
The Lord told us a parable in Matthew 25:15 saying, “And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability.” So, find out what it is that the Lord deposited in you to unleash to the world, and do not bury it like the unjust steward with one talent (Matthew 25:24-30). Really, we shall all stand before the Lord to give an account of our stewardship here on earth. Remember, you will not fulfill your destiny in life if you do a thousand things but fail to do the one thing that God has ordained for you to do here on earth. The Psalmist said, “Lord, teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). Your destiny is at stake. Like Martha, there’s no time to waste on frivolous activities that do not count before God (Luke 10:41-42). God has a thought, a great future, and an expected end for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Anything short of it is a disaster. Please, discover and stay focused on your assignment. Start fulfilling it Now. We shall continue from here next week. Till then, be mindful of a huge destiny before you. The world awaits your manifestation. “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19). Yes, it’s time to manifest. So, manifest the glory of God as you go about your daily activities this week in Jesus Mighty Name. Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
