God is Waiting for You to Do the Needful.

Friends, greetings in Jesus Mighty Name. Today, I will be sharing with you what I title, “God is Waiting for You to Do the Needful.” Let me begin my discourse by saying that God wants you so blessed beyond what you can ever think or imagine. The book of 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Now, those who love God, obey God’s voice. They’re not stationary but on the move to do whatever God tells them to do. Indeed, God is out to showcase us, but sometimes, our current state of inertia to the things that moves God’s hands to bless us causes the delay of His blessings in our lives. Some believers are angry towards God because he has not met their heart desires as expected. Listen, God is not the cause of your unmet needs or wants. It’s you! God has standards, and he can’t bend the rules of engagement simply because you’re his son or daughter. He’s a just God. In Deuteronomy 28:1, Moses spoke to the children of Israel saying: “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Hallelujah!
We can see from the above scripture that certain conditions that we meet instigate heaven to release virtues and blessings upon our lives. Someone may say, our God is good and kind, He will not withhold any good thing from those who love Him. Yes, of course. But loving God means that you and I must obey His voice and not rebel against Him (Isaiah 1:19-20). Some may also say, it is by grace, not by works. Yes, I hear you! But Apostle Paul asked: “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not” (Romans 6:1-2). Hear me, the grace of God does not work in a vacuum. God’s grace must find expression in your life through what He has put in your hands to be doing (Matthew 25:14-30). As a student for instance, the grace of God will not study on your behalf to pass your exams. No! You must do your part, and God will do His part. In fact, if you do not take your studies seriously, the Holy Spirit cannot remind you what you didn’t study. Like I always tell those who care to listen, God is not a magician. He does not do BetNaija or Baba Ijebu. There’s no lottery with Him. He is a just God. As a student, God’s grace can only work on what you have read, and then magnify his wisdom upon you to put it in a way that your lecturer will give you an “A” in that course. But if you do not study, pray from morning till night, nothing will happen.
I have seen believers on campus who were busy pursuing too many things like Martha, but forgot their primary purpose why they were admitted into the University, and they got expelled for not meeting up academically (Luke 10:38-42). Yes, they loved God so much, preached on campus, won souls for Christ, but got rusticated from the University. Was God unfair to them? No! God has a standard, and the standard applies to all – whether you’re born again or gentile – and that standard is diligence (Proverbs 22:29). It is important to know that God loves you so much not to entrust certain things into your hands if you’re not mature enough to handle it. You know why? Such a blessing can take you to your early grave. The bible declares in Galatians 4:1, “Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.” Beloved, there are many blessings awaiting your maturity before it can be released to you. If at the time appointed for the blessing to manifest, you’re still acting like a child, then you frustrate God’s timing and purpose for your life (Hebrews 5:12-14). This is when God starts looking elsewhere to replace you. Why?
No man can hinder God’s program or agenda for mankind. For every man appointed by God to execute a purpose, God has a replacement. David replaced Saul; Samuel replaced Eli. Just like every football player on the pitch has a replacement waiting on the bench, God also has a replacement for each and every one of us should we begin to err in the game of life set before us by Him. Yes, no man is indispensable before God. We must understand God’s unique programs and timing for our lives, and then key into it. The fiery trials you may be going through right now is God stirring the water to get your attention, so you can key into His purpose for your life. For Moses, it took God setting up a fire on the bush to get Moses’ attention so he can run with his purpose. The bible declares in Exodus 3:2-4, “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So, he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn. So, when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said: Moses, Moses! And he said: Here I am.” I pray as you go this week, you’ll be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and His leading for your life in Jesus Mighty Name. Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With Love, Elvis!
