Some people view God as an abstract personality. They do not feel or experience His presence. To them God is detached from humanity – worse still – He does not exist. But I have good news for you. God isn’t just near to you, but He lives in you. “For greater is He that lives in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). And not only does He live in you, you equally live in him. “For in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). If you have truly had an encounter with Christ, you will agree with what I am saying. There is a song by a gospel musician, Tommy Walker, titled “He Knows My Name”. It is a popular song many of us sing at church, with lyrics that goes like this: “I have a Father; He calls me His own; He’ll never leave me; No matter where I go; He knows my name; He knows my every thought; He sees each tear that falls; And He hears me when I call.”
Ladies and gentlemen, God knows you by name. You are not a surprise to God. He knows everything about you – your strength, your weakness, your thoughts, your every move – and even your future. He is your manufacturer; your source of being. Psalm 100:3 declares, “Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves.” Listen, there is no other person that can give a better or accurate answer about you than God. The Lord said to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5). Really, our times here on earth are in His hands (Psalm 31:15). Therefore, we must entrust our lives to Him, bearing in mind He knows everything about us, and He cares (1 Peter 5:7). If He knows me by name, He also knows everything I am going through, and has all the answers to every challenge or situation I am facing. Therefore, never make any problem look bigger than God. Rather tell the problem how big your God is.
The bible says, If God be for you who can be against you (Rom. 8:31); You are more than a conqueror (Rom. 8:37);; The enemy shall not exact upon you; nor the son of wickedness afflict you (Psalm 89:22); You are rich and not poor (2 Cor. 8:9); You are blessed and not cursed (Numbers 12:6-12); Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law (Gal.3:13); By His stripes you are healed (Isaiah 53:3); No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17); You are blessed going out and blessed coming in (Deut.28:6); Whosoever gathers together against you shall fall for your sake (Isaiah 54:15); The Lord will disappoint the devices of the crafty against your life (Job 5:12); You shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you (Job 22:28); You have power over devils (Luke 9:1); Wherever the sole of your foot shall tread upon you shall possess (Joshua 1:3); Whosoever digs a pit for you shall fall inside (Proverbs 26:27). What else shall I say – Thanks be to God who always causes you to triumph in Christ (2 Cor.2:14). Do you believe these words of blessings? It is yours! Remember, God Knows You By Name. So, go about rejoicing in His Presence. Hallelujah! Have a Wonderful Week. With love, Elvis!
