He Touched Her Hand.

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you what I title, “He Touched Her Hand.” In Matthew 8, there are many interesting stories of Jesus’ miraculous wonders, healings, and deliverance to those who were oppressed by the devil in the area of sickness and disease. One example was the mother in-law of Peter. The bible declares from Matthew 8:14-15, “Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.” While meditating on this verse of scriptures, the Lord ministered to my heart and said: “Son, the hand that Jesus laid on Peter’s mother in-law is not different from your hand if only you will believe me to do the impossible through you. “
Ladies and gentlemen, I have come to tell you as a believer in Christ Jesus, you’re not different from Jesus in the capacity that he operated to do miracles and wonders here on earth. As a matter of fact, whatever miracle Jesus did here on earth, you and I can do much more. In other words, if Jesus had touched the sick and they recovered, healed the leper, opened blind eyes, healed the crippled, and raised the dead, then you can do even more. Hallelujah! Jesus declared in John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” From this scripture, it is clear that Jesus left us with a huge responsibility to continue from where he stopped. But unfortunately, some of us glance through this scripture as though it doesn’t concern us. Listen, the above scripture was not targeted at the 12 Disciples of Jesus as some may conclude. Jesus emphatically said, “He who believes in Me”. Meaning, anybody who receives Him as their Lord and Saviour will do greater works than He did. Hallelujah!
I remember many years ago as a student in Johannesburg. I was going for an evening church service, and as soon as I passed the campus gate to walk down through the popular Jan Smut Avenue, I saw a gentleman who was bent low with tears dropping from his eyes. I tried to ignore him, but the Lord urged me to speak to him and find out what was wrong with him. Then I approached him and made an inquiry. He told me he has a spinal disorder at the lower part of his waist due to an injury he sustained as a little boy when he fell from a tree while playing at school. According to him, each time he’s walking on the street or going somewhere, a sudden pain will surface that seizes his movement, and he’ll be forced to bend low for nearly 7-hours without making a move. He told me he is 33 years old, the injury occurred when he was just 10 years old, and he has been in this agony for the past 23 years. As a result, he cannot marry or do much in life because the infirmity has become a stigma in his life. To cut the long story short, I asked him if he believed that Jesus could heal him, and he said yes. Then I laid my hand on his waist and prayed. Listen, before I could finish praying, I heard a strange noise from his waist, he stood still, and grabbed me so tight – screaming, and shouting saying – Jesus has healed me, I can feel it. immediately, he left me and began to somersault, jumping and praising God. Hallelujah!
Beloved, your hands are blessed. Meaning, whatever you touch or lay your hands on produces positive results. Then Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them” (Luke 9:16-17). Listen, God wants to manifest himself through us, but a lot of times we belittle His power in us. If I may ask: Do you really know who you are? Do you believe in the power you carry as an ambassador of Christ? Jesus said in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Hear me, You’re a Power Carrier. Yes, there’s power in your hands – whatever you touch changes for good (Mark 16:17-18); there’s power in your mouth – whatever you say come to pass (Job 22:28; Matthew 18:18); there’s power in your legs – wherever the sole of your foot tread upon you shall possess (Joshua 1:3); there’s power in your ears – for you hear what others cannot hear (Matthew 10:27-30); there’s power in your eyes – for you can see what others cannot see (2 Kings 6:8-17). Hallelujah! You’re more than a conqueror; for greater is he that’s in you, than he that’s in the world. Arise this day and become fearless. Go out this week with boldness – lay hands on the sick, speak to that product that refuses to sell in the market, and command that mountain before you to move, and the Lord will answer you and grant your heart desires in Jesus Mighty Name (Mark 11:22-24; Psalm 37:1-5). Hallelujah! Have a blessed and fantastic week. With love, Elvis!
