I Am The Lord That Heals You

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title “I Am The Lord That Heals You”. Beloved, there is a trend I see going on today in the body of Christ, whereby the diseases of Egypt meant for the gentiles, are now plaguing and ravaging the church. It’s no longer a news to hear the church raising prayer points for a loved one suffering from cancer, fibroid, kidney failure, heart disease, and so on. Unfortunately, many of such people are dying in their numbers. The question is: What is going on? Has the power of God vanished from the church? Or is God loving us by plaguing His own with terminal and incurable diseases? I would say no! Really, the love of God towards us is too much for Him to permit even a slight headache upon our lives. The Lord declares in 3 John 2 saying, “Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers”. This scripture vividly depicts God’s desire for His children. But if this is true about us, then something must be amiss somewhere for lots of believers to be going through the diseases of Egypt.

The Lord declares in Exodus 15:26, “If thou will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that heals you.” From this scripture, one can see that at the root cause of every sickness and disease is disobedience that leads to sickness. Once the sin of disobedience is dealt with, then the healing power of God flows unhindered to our lives. James 5:14-16 says, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Does the above scripture suggest that anyone who is sick has committed sin? Well, not necessarily so. The bottom line is, for every sickness, there is a resultant loophole giving the devil an entrance point to torment and afflict the individual. That loophole may be caused by you, and it may also have been inherited from the family, which more often than not, is a generational curse. I was praying with a brother recently, and he told me he has been battling with high blood pressure. Then I asked him: Does it run in your family? He said yes! Immediately I told him I can smell a generational curse of high blood pressure trying to perpetuate itself in your family lineage. What must he do? He has to repent on behalf of his family lineage as a result of any sin, then break the flow of that curse by bringing it to a halt. Hallelujah! Yes, you shouldn’t partake the sins of your forefathers by bearing the consequences of their sins.

But I have good news for you. Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law; being made a curse for us: as it is written, cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree” (Gal. 3:14). Therefore, you do not have to feel sentenced to death by a particular sickness or disease terrorizing your life. The bible says, “who the son of man – Jesus – has set free is free indeed” (John 8:36). By the shared blood of Jesus on the cross, you are free and delivered from the power of sickness and disease. “He was wounded for your transgression, bruised for your inquiry, the chastisement of your peace was upon him. And by whose stripes you are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Therefore, reject sickness and disease with vehemence. If you are sick right now, put your right hand there and declare, “Lord, you are the God that heals me” (Exodus 15:26); and I am healed in Jesus Name (Jeremiah 17:14). Hallelujah! Have the most memorable week of your life in Jesus Name. With love, Elvis!
