I Am The Lord That Heals You
Beloved, there is an ugly trend happening in the body of Christ today. It’s frightening to see the rate at which believers in Christ die suddenly. It seems the diseases of Egypt meant for the Gentiles, are now plaguing and ravaging the church. It’s no longer news to hear the church raising prayer points for loved ones suffering from cancer, fibroid, high blood pressure, kidney failure, heart disease, and so on. Unfortunately, many of such people are dying in their numbers. The question is: Has God abandoned the Church? What’s going on? Has the Power of God suddenly vanished from the church? Or is God loving us by plaguing the church with terminal and incurable diseases? My answer is no! Really, the love of God towards us is too much for Him to permit even a slight headache upon our lives.
The Bible says in 3 John 2, “Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers”. This scripture vividly depicts God’s desire for His children. If this is true about us, then something must be amiss somewhere for lots of believers to be experiencing all kinds of diseases of Egypt. The Lord declares in Exodus 15:26, “If thou will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that heals you.” From this scripture, one can see that at the root cause of every sickness and disease is the sin of disobedience to God’s command. Once the sin of disobedience is dealt with, then the healing power of God flows unhindered to our lives. James 5:14-16 says, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” Hallelujah!
Does the above scripture suggest that anyone who is sick has committed sin? Well, not necessarily so. The bottom line is, for every sickness, there is a loophole or opening that gives the devil an entry point to torment and afflict an individual. That loophole may be caused by your ignorance, unhealthy eating habit, demonically projected due to wrong association and environment, and family ties to deities which more often than not is a generational curse. I was praying with a brother some time ago, and he told me he had been battling with high blood pressure. In our course of discussion, he told me high blood pressure runs in their family. Then I told him I can smell a generational curse of high blood pressure perpetuating itself in their family that must be broken. As believers, you must be vigilant to know any trend of sickness that runs in your family that wants to perpetuate in your own lineage. You shouldn’t allow it. Sickness and disease is not your portion as a child of God. You must reject it with vehemence in Jesus Name. The bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 2:11, “Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” Therefore, give no place to the devil in your life (Ephesians 4:27), and he can’t afflict you with sickness. Jesus said, the prince of this world – Satan – comes and has nothing in ME” (John 14:30).
Beloved, I have good news for you. Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law; being made a curse for us: as it is written, cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree” (Galatians 3:14). Therefore, you do not have to feel sentenced to death by a particular sickness or disease terrorizing your life. The Bible says, “Who the son of man – Jesus – has set free is free indeed” (John 8:36). By the shared blood of Jesus on the cross, you are free and delivered from the power of sickness and disease. Hallelujah! “For He was wounded for your transgression, bruised for your inquiry, the chastisement of your peace was upon him. And by whose stripes you are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Therefore, reject sickness and disease with vehemence. If you are sick in any part of your body right now, place your right hand there and declare: Lord, your word says, “With long life and good health will you satisfy me” (Psalm 91:16). Therefore, “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, O LORD, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise” (Jeremiah 17:14). For He is the God that heals you.
Hallelujah! Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
