Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today happens to be the last day of the year 2018. Hallelujah! What a great privilege to be alive and breathing. Listen, if the devil hasn’t been able to cut short your life, despite all his evil intrigues and schemes against you, then you are a candidate for a supernatural breakthrough. Today, I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Let My People Go”. Every end of the year in my ministry, “Changemakers for Christ”, we focus our outreach towards reaching out to the inmates in prisons. In December 2017, we were at the Badagry Prison. The theme of our message was “Reversing the Irreversible”. The Lord showed Himself strong in that outreach. This year we were at the Maximum Prison in Lagos, with the theme of our message – Let My People Go! The power of God came down so mightily on that day. Really, what happened on that outreach cannot be forgotten so quickly because lives were touched and transformed by God. So, while waiting on God for what to share today, the Lord took me back to what He did at the Maximum Prison. And that is why the title of my today’s message is, Let My People Go. Please, pay close attention to what I am about to share with you. You see, today is very critical. Why? What you do or fail to do today, marks a significant difference beginning tomorrow as you roll into the new year. Yes, certain things have to drop off your life before midnight today, while certain things have to come onboard. It all depends on how you position yourself, and your desire for a change. Really, those in the occult world do not joke with today in their yearly calendar, as rituals and renewal of covenants must take place. And as a Christian, you shouldn’t take it lightly too.

Indeed, at certain times like this, the enemy is out to renew covenants. Meaning, He wants to perpetuate his act of wickedness by holding people bound as they cross into the new year. In the same vein, the Almighty God is out to perpetuate His covenant of blessings upon His children as they cross into the new year. Therefore, you must be alert in the spirit not to allow the enemy to give you an extra luggage you don’t need. Really, I don’t know where the devil has held you captive – be it sickness or disease, bareness, joblessness, poverty or lack, oppression, failure, or whatsoever. The bible declares that, “Whom the son of God sets free is free indeed” (John 8:36). It goes further to say that, “The just shall live by Faith” (Hab.2:4, Rom.1:17, Gal.3:11, Heb.10:38). If you truly believe in the Name of Jesus and have faith in Him, you shall be free from any satanic yoke, and cross-over to take-over in 2019. Hallelujah! Like the children of Israel, you shall be set free and walk out from the enemy’s slave camp in Jesus Mighty Name! You just have to believe it. The Lord declared in Isaiah 49:24-25, “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus says the LORD: Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with you, and I will save your children.” The Lord delights great pleasure in defending His children. According Exodus 14:14, “The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

God saw the affliction of the children of Israel in Egypt and decided to deliver them by sending Moses to Pharaoh. The bible says in Exodus 5:1-2, “And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, thus says the LORD God of Israel, Let My People Go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. And Pharaoh said: Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.” Listen, when it is your time to go, the enemy will put up a fight. Why? The devil derives great pleasure in keeping people in captivity. Talking of the devil, Isaiah 14:17 says, “He opens not the house of his prisoners.” The only way to be free is to arise, exercise your authority over him in Jesus Name, and knock him out of the way. There is only one language the devil understands, and that is the language of force. Meaning, you must be forceful in making demand of what is rightfully yours that the enemy is holding captive. As you cross over tonight to 2019, reject vehemently every garment of shame, affliction, delay, failure, poverty, sickness, or whatever that the devil wants to put on you. Then put on garment of praise, joy, peace, accelerated promotion, good health, fruitfulness, abundance, prosperity and wealth that the Lord has reserved for you in the coming year. Hallelujah!
