My Case Must Be Different
Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “My Case Must Be Different”. Let me begin by saying that life is full of challenges. We cannot wish away the problems of life. Meaning, moment of discomfort will surely and will always come. The bible says in Isaiah 43:2, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle upon you.” If you noticed, it didn’t say “if you pass through”. No! It is a matter of “when”. Meaning, it is an inevitable event that must occur. What is most important here is how you handle it when it comes. Hallelujah! Proverbs 24:10 says, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small”. As Martin Luther King rightly puts it, “The ultimate measure of man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenges and controversy.”
Really, the bible is full of interesting stories of people who despite their seemingly difficult moments, they broke-forth and overcame every obstacle that came their way. Their case became different when they began to do things differently. In life, your case becomes different when you begin to think, see, act the way God would have you do. In the book of Numbers 13, God instructed Moses to select twelve people from the twelve tribes of Israel that should go and spy the land that He has promised to them. They all journeyed to see the land, but on reaching there, they discovered there were giants occupying the land. Then ten of the spies were frightened, and upon their return, they brought an evil report to Moses and to the congregation of Israel, by saying that they cannot possess the land because the descendants of Anak – the giants – dwells in that place. But two of the spies, Caleb and Joshua refuted their bad reports. They said to Moses and the congregation, yes there are giants there, but we are well able to possess the land and defeat those giants. Caleb and Joshua decided that their case must be different.
You know what? All the ten spies who confessed negatively never entered the Promised Land. They all died in the wilderness except Caleb and Joshua. Listen, when God gives you a promise, He knows you will confront giants on the way, and He equally knows you are well able to overcome those giants and obtain the promise. As a child of God, you already won the battle even before it begins. There is no pressure or problem that can overwhelm you on your way to fulfilling destiny. You know why? God has already fortified you by birth to overcome every challenge you will ever face in life. Job 22:29 says, “When men are cast down, then you shall say, there is lifting up.” Really, your case must be different from others in any given situation in life. Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23); “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37). Often times, we hear these words and it sound strange. The reality is that it is True! Dare believe God, and you will see His wonder working power in your life.
Listen, nobody preached to the woman with the issue of blood. She saw all the miracles Jesus was performing, she knew Jesus was passing by, and she decided in her own heart that her case must be different that day by touching the helm of Jesus garment. When she took a step of faith, she got her miracle. The fountain of blood that flowed through her for 12 years dried-up with an immediate effect (Luke 8:43-48). Beloved, I don’t know how desperate you’re to sing a new song concerning any situation you might be facing right now. Hear me, the Lord said to Sarah, “Is anything too hard for the Lord” (Genesis 18:14). Every impossible situation in your life is about to give way now in Jesus Name. You know why? Every problem has an expiry date. Now is the time! There is only one thing that will guarantee your victory. And that is your relationship with Jesus. Your encounter with Christ makes the difference. He is your assurance and insurance cover. If you haven’t made Him the Lord over your life, do so now by inviting Him. He will answer you speedily as you call. Yes, dial heaven’s number now, Jesus awaits, and your case will be different. Hallelujah! Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
