Understanding your Times and Seasons of Life

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name. Today I will be sharing with you what I title, “Understanding your Times and Seasons of Life”. The time and season that we are in right now calls for an understanding of what God would have us do. The Bible declares in the book of 1 Chronicles 12:32, “Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command.” Today, many are searching for answers. Why? The world is full of problems, and people desperately need solutions to their problems. As a result, they gravitate towards those who have real answers to their challenges and help meet their needs. Really, you cannot influence others, if you do not add value to their lives. Like the sons of Issachar, it’s only those who have understanding of times and seasons that can offer such answers that people desperately need at this moment. Beloved, if you do not have an understanding of your times and seasons of life, you fall short of what God wants to do in your life. An important personal question remains: By divine program of God for my life, what is expected of me right now? Listen, the answer to this question is not something you guess about. It’s something you need to create time and seek God’s face to discover (Jeremiah 33:3).
You see, life is in phases (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). You transit from one season to another according to God’s set time for your life. But you must know when it’s time to move to your next phase of life so you don’t get stuck in one spot. One thing you must know about times and seasons of life is that it presents us with the opportunity for change. What really is change? Change is a general transition of something or phase to another state or condition. It is the process of causing a function, practice, or thing to become different somehow compared to what it is at present or what it was in the past. Really, in the time and season we are right now, change matters most. And as you enter into your time and season, you experience a change in status, a change in spiritual upliftment, a change in your physical look, also a change in your pocket. Yes, your financial status changes too. Hallelujah! Right now, there is a shift in the realm of the spirit, causing a change on the earth. Things are no longer normal as they used to be. The moment we’re in right now calls for a deeper intimate relationship with God (Psalm 27:1-4).
Look at the changes that have befallen us in recent times. How many of us envisaged that a time would come when the whole world would be shut down, no movement, and people could only relate online with others, shop online, and worship online. Since Covid-19, the world never remained the same again. The covid-19 is a precursor to so many other changes to come that will impact our times and seasons of life. In reality, if you truly want to achieve any meaningful thing now, you must understand your time and season requires you to shift position and adjust your spiritual momentum. In Deuteronomy 1:6-7, the Lord spoke to the children of Israel in Horeb through Moses saying: “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighboring places in the plain.”
If you read the preceding verses, you will discover that the children of Israel moved around in a circle for 40 years on the side of Jordan in the wilderness. Now, the Lord is telling them that their time and season to move up to their higher calling has come. Yes, it’s time to move to a bigger mountain, where you can see a better view and draw closer to your destiny. In Matthew 28:16, “The eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.” Listen, there is a mountain God has appointed for you this year. Like the disciples of Jesus, you must move. You cannot get there when you’re still holding on to the past. You must go past every self-limiting force that held you bound in a place of oppression, lack, confusion, and false contentment in 2024, and march forth into your glory this 2025. It’s your hour to shift position and move forward (Exodus 14:15). Hallelujah! Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
