Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you on what I tittle, “Walking in Wisdom”. One thing every one of us need but often lack is wisdom. The bible declares in Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom.” It is a principal thing because – wisdom is something you can’t do without in life – except you want to walk in foolishness. Those who desire to succeed in the journey of life must walk in wisdom. “The Lord by wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding has He established the heavens” (Prov. 3:19). Our God is a God of wisdom, and we can’t operate any less if we claim to be His. Why is wisdom so important? Wisdom annihilates foolishness. Today, many have been injured and rendered to the valley side of life due to foolishness. When someone operates in divine wisdom, it does not take long for those around him to recognize it. Why? Wisdom is like a magnet – it showcases and draws people to those who has it. If you are familiar about the story of the Queen of Sheba – she sought for Solomon when she heard of his wisdom (1 Kings 10:1-13).
Why do you need wisdom? Wisdom help you foresee evil ahead of time so you can dodge your head (Proverbs 22:3); wisdom offers you grace and favor – see Joseph in Egypt (Genesis 41); with wisdom, you operate on a high level of divine revelations – see Daniel in Babylon (Daniel 1:17-21); wisdom puts a crown on your head, opens impossible doors, makes you a problem solver, offers you riches and honour and long life (Prov. 8). How does wisdom come? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Prov. 9:10). The fear of God leads to life and delivers from death. “Those who hate me (wisdom) loves death” (Prov. 8:36). When a man has the fear of God in his heart, he is not far from God’s revelations. God is seeking for those who love, reverence, and fear Him – such will He pour Himself unto without measure (2 Chron 16:9). Personally, one of the things I have learnt to do over the years is to read the book of Proverbs daily – there are 31 chapters in Proverbs – and each day of the month, I take a chapter like a capsule. Try it and see the difference it will make in your life. A preacher once said that, “God’s word is God’s wisdom in print. When we receive His word and engage it, then we are walking in His wisdom.”
Speaking to his disciples, Jesus said to them, “Whosoever hears these saying of mine, and does them shall be liken to a wise man.” Do you lack wisdom? Ask! Remember, Wisdom is a gift! “For the Lord gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6). “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). King Solomon, seeing the task ahead was too much for him to handle, asked God for wisdom, and it was granted to him (1 Kings 3:9-12). Are there issues in your life at the moment that requires wisdom? Are there decisions you are about taking right now but aren’t sure which way to go? Ask God, He will give you (Matt. 7:7). As you sincerely seek God’s face this week, ask for His wisdom, and it shall be granted you. Hallelujah! I see you operating on a high frequency of divine wisdom. You are blessed! Have a Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
