You Need God To Succeed In Life

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you what I title, “You Need God To Succeed In Life”. Sometime ago, I was in the shower and worshipping God, and the Lord spoke to me saying, “Son, I am all you need to succeed in life”. He went further to say, “Do not pursue or run after men”. A lot of times, many people put their hope in man. They wish if only they could get in touch with so and so persons, then their problems will be over. Unfortunately, they make God a spare tyre – only solicit for His help – when all else fails. You see, when your hope and trust is in the Lord, He brings men to your aid. But when you pursue after men, they will disappoint you, and at the same time, you miss out on God’s help and blessings. This is what I refer to as double tragedy, because you lose on both ends when you put your hope and trust in men. It is important to know that God won’t come down from heaven to help you physically. He will use human vessels to help you. But he does not want your focus or trust to be on them. Why? He does not want any man to become god in your life. Yes, he can’t share you with anyone. He’s a jealous God (Exodus 34:14). As such, he wants you completely to himself. Any sign of disloyalty towards him will cause a breach that will mar your relationship with him (1 Samuel 2:30).
The Lord said in Jeremiah 17:5-8 saying, “Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like the heat in the desert, and shall not see when good comes; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” This scripture paints a hard truth that we must digest as long as we live. You know what? God knows just one idea that He will give you right now that can bring you in less than 24 hours a huge financial fortune and generational wealth (Genesis 30:25-43; Genesis 31:1-13). Why? For He is the all-knowing God (Jehovah El Roi). “For the secret things belong to the Lord” (Deut. 29:29). The question is: Are you ready to solely depend on Him without looking elsewhere?
Listen, when you don’t know what to do, or what you know to do is not bringing the result that you desire, then wisdom demands that you turn to God. It doesn’t matter the situation you are going through or facing right now – lack, health challenge, joblessness, debt, poverty, depression, just name it – Jesus will never fail you when you genuinely call upon Him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Really, that’s what makes Him God – The Jehovah Nissi (The Lord your banner, shield, and deliverer), Jehovah El Shaddai (The Almighty and All-Powerful God), Jehovah Ropheka (The Lord your healer), Jehovah El Elyon (The Most High God, the God of gods, and Lord of lords; the matchless God), Jehovah Jireh (The Lord your provider), Jehovah El Roi (The God who sees – He’s not blind over your situations and circumstances), Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Host, the Mighty Man in battle – For He will fight for you and you shall hold your Peace), Jehovah Shammah (The Lord is Present – For He is your ever present help in times of trouble), and Jehovah “Whatever you want Him to be in your Life”. Hallelujah!
Now, Jesus declared in John 15:5, “For without Me you can do Nothing”. Meaning, your life is worthless without Him. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). You know what? Just try that name, JESUS! I have tried it by giving my life to Him. It’s strong, powerful, terrific, and mighty. Yes, it’s equally Dangerous. It can Kill and Make Alive (1 Samuel 2:6-7). Hallelujah! “For God has highly exalted Him, and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11). You may think your success and few achievements in life have been by your sweat and strength. You know what? What you achieve by sweat will be protected by your sweat of strength. It’s hard labour (Genesis 3:19). Unfortunately, “For by strength shall no man prevail ” (1 Samuel 2:9). The truth is, “The blessings of the Lord makes rich, and adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22); “For the Lord is a shield to them that puts their trust in Him” (Psalm 18:30). As you go about your daily activities this week, embrace the Lord Jesus all the way. Remember, “The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in his ways” (Psalm 37:23). Let the Lord guide every step and move you make this week in Jesus Mighty Name. Hallelujah! Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
