Created in The Image and Likeness of God.

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name. Today, I will be sharing with you what I title, “Created in The Image and Likeness of God.” Have you ever wondered why people look like their parents? In fact, in certain instances, you could see in a son all the features you see in his father. Really, the features will be so obvious that you need not ask or question the paternity of that child. The question is why? It is because genes are strong. The bible declares in Genesis 1:11, “Every seed will produce after its own kind.” A mango tree produces a mango fruit not an apple fruit; a monkey gives birth to a monkey and not a chimpanzee. It will be abnormal to see a goat giving birth to a lion. Now, God gave birth to Himself when He created man. The Psalmist caught a revelation on this and said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.” The Psalmist went further to declare, “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels (Elohim), and You have crowned him with glory and honor. you have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (Psalm 8:3-6).
You see, man cannot be lower than the angels. In the original Hebrew translation of the bible, the place you see angel in the above scripture, what we have there is Elohim, meaning God. In other words, God placed man in His class. His gene runs through us. Just as a mango tree is incapable of producing something else other than a mango tree, God conditioned himself to produce His image and His likeness in us and nothing short of that. Hallelujah! In Genesis 1:26, “God said, let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Listen, if you have a deeper revelation of what it means for man to be created in the image and likeness of God, your life will never remain the same again. In fact, you will know deep down in your spirit and get it registered in your subconscious mind, that you’re not just a mere mortal with a certain lifespan of existence here on earth. Such knowledge will open your eyes to the fact that, “As God is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17). Hallelujah!
The Psalmist declares, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men” (Psalms 115:16). Why? Man is special, errorless, and uniquely created by God to act on His behalf here on earth. As the Lord seats in heaven, so are we seated together with him in the heavenly place, judging over the affairs of this world. Yes, God has so highly exalted man to become a co-labourer with him. The book of 1 Corinthians 3:9 says, “For we are labourers together with God.” Hallelujah! Meaning, God being the Chairman of the estate called earth, He has made man the CEO to govern the affairs of the earth, and to give regular reports to Him as He daily communes with man. No wonder God will come down to earth to visit Adam in the Garden to fellowship with him, and also to get the situation report from Adam on how he’s governing the affairs of the earth (Genesis 3). Unfortunately, Adam fell as a result of disobedience, and he paid dearly for his sin by losing his dominion mandate and bringing death upon the entire human race. But thank God Jesus came to redeem us from the shackles of death, and restored the dominion mandate back to us.
When God created us in His image and likeness, He made us to be in charge. Anything short of that degrades, devalues, and subjugates man under the rulership of the devil. God did not only place us in charge of the earth, but He placed in us His creative ingenuity to extend the frontiers of creation here on earth (John 14:12). I woke up a few days ago and the Lord said to me: “Son, stop looking for what’s not lost. All that you need to prosper and succeed in life is in you.” We’re created by God as a complete package without defect, and dispatched from heaven to earth. No one is born incomplete, inadequate, and useless. People become useless by choice. This occurs when they become a burden to others and the society. God never intended our lives to be hinged on what we can get from others in order to survive or succeed in life. When God created man – Adam and Eve – he blessed them, and put within them what it takes to dominate, subdue, multiply, replenish, create, invent, innovate, produce, and then fill the earth with abundance (Genesis 1:28). The biggest challenge for most people is the inability to discover who they are. Until you discover yourself in Christ, you cannot recover your losses and all that the devil has stolen from man in the Garden of Eden. Friend, I don’t know how you see yourself. It’s because the way you see yourself this year, will determine the outcome that you will see at the end. Remember, You are Created in the Image and Likeness of God. Hallelujah! Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
