Living By God’s Word And Instructions

Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Living By God’s Word And Instructions”. In recent times, I hear some people asking: Many prophesies went forth this year through the mouth of respected men of God without consideration of Covid-19. Will these prophesies still come to pass despite the pandemic ravaging the world right now? Well, my answer to them is yes, but only to the prophesies ordered by God, not the ones manufactured by men. Indeed, we have many “prophe-lying” prophets in town who proclaim what God did not say. The Lord spoke through Prophet Jeremiah 14:14 saying, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.” You see, God and His word are one. He can’t bring into reality any spoken prophesy not backed by Him. If He does, it negates His personality (Numbers 23:19). Can the spoken words by the true prophets of God come to pass in this season? Absolutely YES! While meditating on God’s word this past weekend, the Lord laid in my heart two critical things to embrace in this season: (1) lay hold on my words and instructions; (2) put no trust in anybody or thing, except Me. In other words, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2).

Today, the world economy is crumbling, businesses shutting down, families facing untold hardship across nations, people losing their jobs, and famine looming at us. Despite all these, it is only the word of God that can bring healing and succor to the dying world. “For the word of God is quick and powerful” (Hebrew 4:12). A life deficient of the “word” at this present time, has little chance for survival with the economic crisis about to hit the world. Proverbs 4:20-22 declares, “My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” You can imagine what will slowly happen to one’s life that blatantly chooses to ignore God’s word at this critical hour. Really, this is not the time for you to live your life carelessly by guessing? To prosper and succeed in this time, you must live intentionally by focusing on God’s word. The book of Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Listen, the biggest need of man is God, not money or investment. Why? Money will come and fly away; Investments will fail. You can see the stock markets crashing everyday globally. But one with God is Majority. You will have it all – money, riches, secured investments, abundance, eternal life, including peace of mind in the midst of chaos and wailing – if you have Christ in you. “For without me you can do nothing”, says the Lord (John 15:5). It is what God is saying right now – in this season – that should matter most than any other thing in your life. Therefore, choose to live purposefully by God’s word and instructions. It is the only guarantee you have to navigate successfully in this moment. Hallelujah! So, what do you do now? Just roll up your sleeves and begin to soak yourself in the “Word of God”. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.” I have come to realize that the easiest way to hear from God is to spend time in His word. Spend quality time searching out what God is saying in His word; and then receive daily instructions and strategic wisdom tools you need to succeed. You are blessed! Stay safe and remain strong in God, as you face the week with courage through His word, knowing fully well that His word over your life will not fall to the ground in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen! With love, Elvis!
