Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Maximize the Moment”. The Newton’s Third Law of Motion states that, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Let me state categorically that, for every given challenge or circumstance you face in life, there is an equal amount of opportunity for greatness within that seemingly daunting situation. Beloved, corona virus will come and go. Unfortunately, some will die, but you and I will live to declare the works of the Lord in Jesus Name (Psalm 118:17). Like any other disease that have terrorized the world in recent past, Covid-19 will soon become history by God’s grace. Yes, it won’t last forever…it’s a phase! Now, the most important question we must ask ourselves is: What will become of me after Covid-19 pandemic? Are there lessons to be learned? Would I become a stronger or weaker Christian? A giver or hoarder? A prayerful believer or prayerless believer? A soul winner or soul loser? Really, whatever you become afterwards begins with the choices you are making right now in this lockdown. You either stifle this moment by engaging in meaningless activities or maximize the moment by engaging in fruitful activities. Yes, the choice is yours!

You see, our God works with times and seasons in His dealings with humanity. He declares in Ecclesiastes 3:1-4, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” Really, there is something the Lord is doing in this season of Covid 19. I had a phone conversation with a Pastor friend of mine yesterday, and he said: “Elvis, Covid-19 is beyond Satan; he hasn’t got such power of this magnitude without God’s approval.” I agreed with him. You see, the Lord saw this pandemic coming; he would have chosen to avert it; but like Job’s case, He permitted it for His own sovereign reasons. Therefore, there is a purpose attached to every intentions of God. That purpose can only be decoded by His children who key into His agenda on earth. Like the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do per time and season (1 Chronicles 12:32); the Lord expects us now, to download the agenda of heaven for the earth at this hour. And this can only occur when we maximize the moment. To maximize something is to use it to its fullest. Thus, to maximize the moment is to take full advantage of the hour and get the most out of it.

As believers in Christ, this is not the hour to be running helter-skelter, frightened by fear, and confessing negative words like those in the world without hope. It’s time to engage into productive work for maximum impact. Jesus said in John 9:4, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night comes, when no man can work.” There is a work you and I must work in this season; and if we ignore such work, we lose out what God has for us. Remember, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). May we not be trapped by the illusion of COVID-19 without grasping what the Lord is doing in this season. This is the time for us to roll up our sleeves, and increase our spiritual capacity. Yes, it’s time to pray like never before (1 Thes.5:17); study and meditate on the word like your last breath depends on it (Joshua 1:8); praise, worship, rejoice and dance like crazy the way David did (2 Samuel 6:13-14); minister to the needy and give a helping hand to the poor (Proverbs 19:17); reach out to the brokenhearted in your community, minister the love of Christ, and be a soul winner (Proverbs 11:30). Hallelujah! May you make God Proud in this Critical Season. Maximize the MOMENT! You and your loved ones are Highly Favoured, Protected and Immune against Covid-19 by the Blood of Jesus.
