Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Partnering with God”. Today you see people go into all kinds of partnership – ranging from business partnership, marital partnership, sport partnership, just name it. One of the reasons for going into partnership is to leverage on other people’s strength. In other words, what you don’t have, someone else has it; and what they don’t have you too may have. Like Gen.2:8 said, “It is not good for man to be alone”. Meaning, his strength is limited without a woman in his life. Therefore, man needs marital partnership with a woman to complement each other. But there is someone who has everything. He does not need anything from you to complement Him except to give you. He is God! You cannot fail when you partner with Him. He knows your strength and weakness. But more often than not, we rely on our own strength that usually fails us, and forget the one that gives strength to the weak. In my personal experience with God so far, I have come to realize that anything borne out of personal strength outside of His will, will burn you out.
These days you hear people saying they are burnt-out. You know why? “By strength shall no man prevail” (1 Sam.2:9). People usually ask me: Elvis, how come you do many things at the same time? Today we see you speaking to the youth, another time on pulpit preaching, then to giving training to organizations, to writing articles and publishing books, then to having time to study and further your education, and so on. My answer to them is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil.4:13); and “His strength is made perfect in my weakness” (2 Cor.12:9). Really, I have come to rely on God’s strength in my walk with Him. “For without Him I can do nothing” (John 15:5). Our problem with God begins when we shut Him out from suggesting anything to us, and then doing things our own way. And being who He is, God will not force or coerce His way into our lives. He can only come by invitation.
Like Jesus cited in Rev.3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” You know God is not a thief. He can only knock and won’t break in uninvited like the devil. A lot of believers are failing today because they have refused to open the door of partnership with God. Jesus was a perfect example of someone who knew how to partner with His Father. While on earth, Jesus did nothing that has no heaven’s approval. The Almighty God is saying to you and me today, “Come now, and let us reason together” (Isaiah 1:18). In other words, God is saying, let us partner together. If the creator of the universe, God Almighty, can humble Himself to reason together with you, that is to tell you how much He values His relationship with you, and also how much He wants you to succeed in Life. Remember, one with God is majority. Have a fantastic week. With love, Elvis!
