Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you what I title, “Running with God’s Instruction for your Life.” Everyone you see moving has certain instructions they are running with. It could be an instruction from God, the one they conjured by themselves, or the one assigned to them by the devil. Now, it becomes imperative that you do not join the bandwagon when you see people moving in a particular direction. Why? The instructions they are running with may be totally different from yours. The bible declares in Psalm 75:6-7, “For promotion comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.” Now, God’s promotion does not come to us suddenly. It’s predicated upon meeting certain prerequisites. You cannot be living anyhow and expect God’s promotion. No! He’s a God of order. One major prerequisite to God’s promotion in our lives is obedience to His voice. There’s no short cut to success with God. Yes, you cannot bribe God or arm twist Him. Just do what He says or command you to do, Period.

A few years ago, I was listening to a young vibrant preacher from the Northern part of Nigeria. At that time, he was just coming up. I heard him say God told him specifically never to sell any of his audio tapes or video recordings of his messages, but that he should upload everything online on YouTube and other social media platforms for free, so people can benefit from them. So, as he preaches the message, he uploads them online. At this point in time, it was not popular to do so, and most preachers were still battling to upload their messages for free. The reason being that they will lose revenue from sales of their materials. Today, the narrative has changed. It is now a blessing in disguise to those who obey God to upload their messages online for free. In fact, just think back the last time you bought a dvd or audio message of any preacher. It’s now history, because every preacher today is pushing for visibility by their messages online so their target audience can watch and listen for free. So, if you’re still hoarding yours for a Fee, it will be to your disadvantage. The world has moved on, and if you do not move in the current wave of God, to embrace and adapt to change, you become obsolete. This young preacher I am talking about heard God clearly, and like Apostle Paul, he did not confer with flesh and blood, but immediately obeyed God, and began to upload his audio and video Teachings on YouTube.

According to him, it looked stupid initially, but not long after, his messages began to gain entrance in the hearts of people, especially the younger generation. As a result, calls and invitations began to come from all over. Today his messages have gone viral on all social media platforms, traversing nations, and languages. How? All because of simple obedience to God’s instruction. You see friend, what you and I need to succeed in life is not too much laboring or copying of what others are doing. It’s just simple obedience to God’s instruction for our individual lives. The Lord declares in Proverbs 4:20-22, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Really, no two individuals have the same instruction from God concerning their destiny. Yes, there is God’s general instruction for all of us as stipulated in the ten commandments (Exodus 20:1-17). But God’s dealing for our lives is unique based on His plan and purpose for our individual lives. The problem with many people today is that they want to do what others are doing.

Listen, you cannot succeed in life by riding on another man’s instruction given to him by God. Follow through on God’s instructions for your life. It’s where you locate your blessings. Yes, you cannot find your blessing elsewhere but only in the place of obedience to God’s command and instruction for your life. Now, what instruction is God bidding you to execute concerning your destiny? Are you following through to it, or you’re looking elsewhere? It is in carrying out that instruction that you will be exalted. Like King Saul, many have been rejected by God, and they found themselves toiling without end due to their rebellion (1 Samuel 15; 1 Samuel 16:1). The bible declares in Isaiah 1:19-20, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Peradventure you belong to the group who do not know what the Lord is saying to them, just create time to seek and wait on the Lord in prayer for direction (Isaiah 40:31). The Lord says in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Hallelujah! As you go this week, and call on the name of the Lord concerning any given situation in your life, He will answer you, and reveal deep secrets to you in Jesus Mighty Name (Deut. 29:29). Amen!
