Turning The World Upside Down For Christ
Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you what I title, “Turning The World Upside Down For Christ”. While in Thessalonica, teaching and preaching the undiluted Word of God, those who did not believe rose up against Paul and Silas by saying to the rulers, “These people that have turned the world upside down have come here also” (Acts 17:1-6). The Almighty God is looking for a company of believers who will be so radical for His Kingdom. Apostle Paul was one of such in his days. He refused to be just an ordinary Christian. Right now, the angels of God are on a mission, hovering around such believers like Paul whom the Lord has set apart for Himself in these last days. As the Bible said, “Many are called, but few are chosen” (Matt.22:14). If you know you have a calling into the ministry, this is the hour to arise and echo your voice like that of Prophet Isaiah: “Here I am Lord, send Me” (Isa.6:8). “The harvest truly is plenty, but the labourers are few” (Matt. 9:37). No more delays. As a matter of fact, this is a clarion call to all believers in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
Jesus said in Mark 16:15-18, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” From the above scripture, no one is excluded from the mission field as a believer in Christ. While admonishing his spiritual son Timothy, Apostle Paul said to him, “Be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy 4:5). Hear me, there is a ministry to be fulfilled in your life. One major ministry God has called each and every one of His children to accomplish is to do “The Work of an Evangelist”. Proverbs 11:30 declares, “He who wins souls is wise.” It is foolishness in the sight of God for us to remain dumb without speaking, and allow souls around us to perish.
The Lord God Almighty declares in Ezekiel 3:18-19, “When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” Listen friend, soul winning is a serious business. It’s not an option for a believer. It’s a must do service unto the Lord. Yes, it is a command. Jesus said to us, “Go ye into the world.” But you still have the choice to either obey or face the consequence of your disobedience (Isaiah 1:19-20; Job 36:11; Deut. 30:19). Listen, God has a substitute for every individual He calls that refuses to obey Him in their field of assignment. He did that against King Saul by replacing him with David (1 Samuel 16:1). No man is indispensable before God. The Lord said to Jeremiah, “See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant” (Jeremiah 1:10). In verse 17 of this chapter, the Lord said further to Jeremiah, “Therefore prepare yourself and arise, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, lest I confound you before them. What’s God telling Jeremiah here? Look, I have given you a standing order to do my work. Do not go against it, otherwise I will frustrate, confuse and dismay you before your enemies. Yes, this is how serious the King’s business is.
God wants to turn upside down all the existing structures of the devil on the earth that has held many people bound in bondage. And He is counting on you and me to arise and do the work of an evangelist in our family, in our workplace, in our community, and in our nation. Jesus said, “Whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father” (Matt.10:33). Apostle Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ” (Rom.1:16). Just make the move to obey God in doing something for His Kingdom – right where you are, with what you have – and you will be amazed what God can do through you. God has no pleasure in people going to Hell. He wants all men saved. Therefore, He needs you to spread the gospel to the unbelievers. A lot of times we make excuses why we cannot do the things of God. Yet, those things we run after keep eluding us. I hear people say I have no time now: I need to focus on my business, my career, my family, my job, etc. You see, all of these things are good. But God wants you to prioritize Him first. Jesus said, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt. 6:33). What are these things? The things we pursue that takes God’s place in our lives. God wants you blessed and lacking nothing. But He wants you to key first into His kingdom, and the good things of life will pursue after you. Hallelujah! Have a Blessed and Fantastic Week. With love, Elvis!
