Friends, greetings in Jesus Name! Today, I will be sharing with you on what I title, “Understanding In All Things”. One of the greatest dilemma in life is having no clear knowledge and understanding of what to to do concerning a given situation. This lack of insight has driven many into involving themselves in all kinds of demonic activities which they inevitably regret much later in life. For instance, some people are presently in a dire situation where they are asking: why can’t I bear a child after many years of marriage; why can’t I find a dream job after 5-yrs of graduation from the university; why am I still single when all my mates are getting married; why am I so clothed with poverty that even to eat is so hard; why and why are all these problems hanging on my neck. Really, these are few of many questions some people are asking and so desperately demand an answer. But unfortunately, many have turned to wrong sources in search of solution to their problems. In so doing they ensnare their souls, and get into deeper trouble than they bargained for.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I announce to you that the journey through life is never smooth. It’s rough but at the same time fulfilling, if we go through it with patience knowing who has called us, and the purpose for which we are created. Never for any moment think some people do not have problems or challenges. Listen, even the likes of Bill Gates, Aliko Dangote, and Mark Zuckerbeg, all have one or two issues troubling them despite the huge billions sitting in their bank accounts. It’s who you have and whose you are – the Most High God – that matters. Really, how people handle the challenges that come their way determines how far or great they become. Proverbs 24:10 says, “If you faint in the day of adversity your strength is small.” While some are being submerged by a problem, others are being lifted by the same problem. What makes the difference is each individual’s ability to “understand” how to tackle each challenge as they come. So, what’s the way out of this dilemma of lack of understanding? While speaking to his spiritual son, Timothy, Apostle Paul said to him: “Consider what I say; and the Lord give you understanding in all things” (2 Timothy 2:7).
Really, understanding what to do at any given time can only come from God. The Lord God Almighty is the Most High (Psalm 47:2); times and seasons are in His hands (Daniel 2:21); there is no secret before him (Deut. 29:29); and nothing hidden that cannot be revealed in his sight (Luke 8:17); He knows all things and has all the answers to every given circumstance. Above all, He created you and knows your purpose in life (Psalm 100:3; Jere. 1:5). The Lord emphatically declares in John 15:5, “For without me you can do nothing”. Therefore, shouldn’t it be wise that you run to Him that knows all things, and have every answer and solution to all your problems? Over the years as a believer in Christ, one thing I have learnt like King David, has always been to seek the counsel of the Lord concerning every matter. There are times I got my fingers burnt because I went ahead to decide for a matter without God’s approval. The Lord said in Proverbs 8:14, “Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.” So, why keep figuring things out yourself when there is a God who can help you. I pray as you go this week, the Lord will grant you deeper understanding in all things you desire to know. You will not miss it in Jesus Name. Have a fantastic week. With love, Elvis!
